ALL STUDENTS WILL NEED SWIMWEAR, SPARE RUNNERS FOR THE RIVER AND A WETSUIT. A FULL CHANGE OF CLOTHES MUST BE LEFT IN THE STARS CLUB HOUSE FOR THE WEEK . IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE STUDENTS HAVE GOOD FOOTWEAR AND A RAIN COAT. ANY OTHER EQUIPMENT OR TOOLS WILL BE PROVIDED.
THE STUDENTS WILL LEARN HOW TO LIGHT A FIRE, MAKE A SLINGSHOT, BUILD A SHELTER AND MUCH MUCH MORE, ALL THROUGH IRISH AND USING THE PRINCIPLES OF LEAVE NO TRACE.

Starting from Tibradden in the Dublin Mountains, we will take you on an adventure through the hills, where you will learn all about the different plants and animals we meet on the way, pass through ancient burial grounds, learn some wilderness survival skills, and that’s just before lunch!
After a picnic lunch and a rest on the top of Three Rock Mountain, we will make our way downhill through forest tracks and native woodland,( maybe even sneaking in a few toasted marshmallows), before we arrive in Kilgobbin, a place steeped in history and a few tales of Oliver Cromwell.
We can guarantee happy, smiley faces on boys, girls...and even teachers!! -
Ambles & Rambles offer fun, outdoor parties for all adventurous kids - whether you're aged 9 or 90!
We provide parties for all occasions where you can learn some bushcraft survival skills, do a treasure hunt, complete an obstacle course, make a bow and arrow and toast your own marshmallows on the campfire.
Kids and parents will have fantastic fun while enjoying the outdoors and learning a thing or two
All parties can be tailored to suit your individual needs. -
Learn the basics of bushcraft and how to survive in the wilderness. From lighting a fire to sourcing your own food – if you see yourself as a bit of a Bear Grylls or you feel like channelling your inner MacGyver, then this is the day out for you!
