Learn the basics of bushcraft and how to survive in the wilderness. From lighting a fire to sourcing your own food – if you see yourself as a bit of a Bear Grylls or you feel like channelling your inner MacGyver, then this is the day out for you!

We offer guided hikes and walks in the Dublin Mountains. Enjoy the beautiful views of our city and bay from the tranquil setting of the Dublin Mountains and hills.

After your walk or full day hike, you will enjoy lunch or a light dinner in a local pub, have a live music session and a sing-song before you go home.
You will meet your guide at the Step Inn in Stepaside, a small village at the foothills of the Dublin Mountains, at 10am. Here you can enjoy a home-baked scone and a cup of tea or coffee while your friendly guide talks to you about the walk ahead.
The half-day tour will take in a 2-3 hour walk at a relaxed pace bringing you about half way up the Dublin Mountains. Here you can enjoy the beautiful views of Dubliln City and Dublin Bay, listen to local legends and stories, see some wildlife and maybe even have a little nip of Irish Whiskey!

We will then make our way back to Stepaside through picturesque woodland and pass the historical church and high cross at Kilgobbin. After your walk, you can relax and enjoy a light lunch, some live music and a sing-song!
